From 28 to 30 August 2025in Via Traversa 131/bis near the “La Città a Spasso” social area a Bulls from Mercogliano (AV), Will host the 32nd edition of the Penne alla Boscaiola with Porcini Mushrooms FestivalA historic event that is part of the celebrations in honor of St. Nicholas of Bari e Saint Anthony of Padua, and which every year attracts a large audience thanks to the quality of the dishes offered and the convivial atmosphere. The evenings start at 20:00 and continue until midnight, with musical entertainment and traditional cuisine.

Who organizes the festival?

The event is promoted by Parish of St. Nicholas of Bari in Torelli in collaboration with the Pro Loco Mercogliano and with the support of associations and volunteers. The initiative is not just a gastronomic experience, but also an opportunity to strengthen community bonds and promote local farming traditions, sharing historic recipes and authentic local ingredients.

What do you eat at the festival

The food stands offer a rich and varied selection, with typical Irpinian dishes prepared according to local housewives' recipes. The star dish is the penne alla boscaiola with porcini mushrooms and crumbled cotechino, served according to Torello tradition. Alongside this first symbol of the festival, visitors will be able to savor other popular dishes and homemade desserts.
