Sausage Festival 2026 in Montoro: Free Entry Program

From September 4 to 6, 2026, the Salsiccia Festival returns to Sant'Eustachio di Montoro , a hamlet in the province of Avellino, bringing the Parco del Sole to life with music, entertainment, and culinary specialties. Admission is free , and the event, organized by DBR Service SRL , offers approximately 500 seats surrounded by greenery.

The dates and where it takes place

The festival takes place from Friday, September 4th to Sunday, September 6th at Parco del Sole in Sant'Eustachio di Montoro. Every evening, starting at 8:00 PM, food stands open, offering dishes prepared on-site, following ancient recipes from Campania and Italy.

The star of the show is sausage , accompanied by side dishes and paired with Irpinia DOC wine . For those planning an evening out, the Volturara Irpina Oktoberfest is also held in the same area in September.

The festival sandwiches

The stands offer four sandwich options, strictly filled with sausage but not only.

• The Classic, with sausage or cotechino, chips or aubergines in oil
• The Campano, with sausage or cotechino, broccoli rabe and smoked provola cheese
• The Farmer, with sausage or cotechino, sautéed peppers, smoked provola and BBQ sauce
• The Spicy One, with cotechino, smoked provola and basil pesto

First courses, second courses and desserts

There's no shortage of first courses , such as cavatelli with sausage, arugula, and provola, or trofie with sausage . Second courses include sausage meatballs in tomato sauce , sausage with baked potatoes or broccoli, cotechino with Mexican-style beans , and caciocavallo impiccato , also available with black truffle sauce, porcini mushroom sauce, or dried tomato and chili pepper pesto.

To finish on a sweet note, try traditional Neapolitan and Montorese shortbread, sfogliatelle, and zeppole. A children's menu with hot dogs, chips, and a drink is available for the little ones.

Music, entertainment and services

Every evening is enlivened by live music and entertainment . Children can have fun in the dedicated playground , while adults can park in ample parking for easy access. The nearby town also hosts a variety of culinary events in September, such as the Zeppola Festival in Montoro.
