A special Valentine's Day at the Railway Museum of Pietrarsa, between ancient carriages and locomotives

for Night of lovers in the city of Naples, really interesting and original initiatives and events have been organized. Like the proposal launched by FS Italiane Foundation (State Railways) which adheres to the review "The Night of the Lovers" of the Municipality of Naples for the day of Valentine's Day, Friday 14 February 2014.

On the occasion of the Valentine's day, the doors of the National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa uninterruptedly by 9: 00 24 to: 00. For a suggestive and unmissable event that will allow all lovers to admire the old station of Pietrarsa, the first Italian railway line that connected Naples and Portici, at sunset, and to enter the ancient carriages and locomotives that have united Italy from 1839 to the present day.

Plus, to make Valentine's night even more magical, it will be exceptionally illuminated the carriage number 10 of the Royal Train built by Fiat in 1929 for the wedding of Umberto II of Savoy to Maria Josè of Belgium and donated to the Museum in 1989 by Francesco Cossiga. And to stay on the subject with love, in the cinema room the movie will be shown "The bridge", a rare 1948 film, lasting 10 minutes, from the Archives of the Italian State Railways.

Al National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa, on Valentine's Day, one will also be applied special discount on the price of the entrance ticket, which will cost 5 euro per couple, compared to the normal cost of 5 euro per person.
