On Valentine's Day a romantic guided tour of the “Secret Gardens” of the Castelluccia of the splendid Royal Palace of Caserta was organized
The Park Office and the Carolino Aqueduct organized, for the day of Valentine's Day 2015, a romantic one guided tour of the secret gardens of Castelluccia of the splendid Royal Palace of Caserta.
Also called 'Secrets Gardens', they were baptized with this name by the architect Luigi Vanvitelli to whom the Bourbon kings commissioned the initial construction. They were placed in the oldest and most reserved part of the Park of the Reggia, in the old wood, where the royals took refuge in the most intimate moments, enjoying the tranquility and freshness of the place.
Here, in fact, there were ornamental plants of various species, above all camellias, but they were also cultivated real delights, that is, high quality fruit and vegetables that were used for the canteen of the royal family. The citrus-scented air, the proximity of the stream and the botanical design make the gardens an enchanting place to visit.
Furthermore, the theatrical-musical representation Miniatures, Love and Kingdom, in which the actors, dressed in period costumes, will tell the love of the past centuries, when the royals combined the marriages of their children, choosing for them a consort or a consort of blue blood to expand their power and territorially extend your own kingdom. The two future spouses knew each other through miniatures.
