From tonight and for forty days, on the top of the hill of Castel Sant'Elmo, will rise up all over Naples a bright “pixelated” red heart, which will light up on the occasion of Feast of San Valentino.
Il "Heart of Naples" it is 4 meters high and 3 meters wide and was built by the students of the course of New Technologies of Art of the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples (Official Facebook page) The tests of its ignition were made yesterday at sunset, and from tonight it will light up daily from the 18 2.
The project is part of the artistic review #CuorediNapoli , a hashtag created on the Instagram platform to allow all users of this social network to share shots of the city of Naples, which will then form the heart materially made on the hill of San Martino.
The light installation is made of Plexiglas on an aluminum base and has been defined "Relational sculpture", which will hold the whole city for forty days, until the next edition of the Kiss Festival, which will involve different neighborhoods with additional audiovisual installations, themed routes and live performance.
