The stairs of Naples are transformed into wearable jewels

The stairs of Naples become jewels thanks to the hands of the Goldsmith Master Antonio Petacca and his line of necklaces and earrings

What do the many have in common stairs of Naples and gioielthem as necklaces and earrings? At first glance nothing, but if we think that the former are real treasures of our city and that the latter will be a unique way to pay tribute to them, then the point of view changes.

Thanks to the initiative of Master Goldsmith Antonio Petacca, owner of a workshop in the historic center, the hundreds of stairs of Naples, real paths of junction between neighborhoods also very distant from each other, will become a jewelry line entitled "Stairs".
The over 200 Neapolitan natural paths, of which 135 real staircases and 69 terraced ones, will be rewritten and reworked, becoming small works of art to wear.

Petacca, for its idea, was inspired by the initiatives that Legambiente / Neapolis 2000 has been putting in place for years, also for the enhancement of our pedestrian paths, so that part of the proceeds from the sale of its jewelry line will be donated to the redevelopment of the stairs themselves and to the realization of ad hoc cultural events organized by Legambiente / Neapolis 2000.

We will thus find gold-rolled jewelery that they will represent Pedamentina, The Moiariello, Montesanto, Princess Jolanda and numerous other stairs that will be forged by Petacca himself in the next days.

The jewelry line with these early models will be presented shortly during an upcoming Legambiente initiative and in the meantime has already found the favor of its president Mature Carmine who said he was enthusiastic about the idea of transforming the urban masterpiece of the Naples stairs into jewels that will contribute to their recovery.
