Strike December 13, Circumvesuviana, Cumana, C. Flegrea and Metro Aversa timetables
Lo EAV strike scheduled for 13 December 2024 risks creating inconvenience for commuters and public transport users in the city of Naples and surrounding areas.
The 24-hour mobilization as confirmed by the TAR of Lazio, called by OS USB, brings forward significant demands on the wage, contractual and political fronts, adding further tension to the already critical services in the region.
Duration and methods of the strike
Initially the general strike initially proclaimed for 24 hours had been reduced to 4 hours, at the disposal of Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, in order to limit the inconvenience to citizens, but with the cancellation by the TAR it was restored with the initial timetable, that is from 21pm on Thursday 00th to 12pm on Friday 21th.
The guaranteed bands will be from 05: 30 to 8: 30 and from 16pm to 30pm, during which transport service will be guaranteed.
The runs made will depend on the number of workers who join the protest. Outside of strike hours, the usual times will be respected. guarantee bands, to ensure public service.
The reasons for the strike
The demands that led to the proclamation of the EAV strike of December 13, 2024 include salary and contractual requests of importance, in addition to political and social motivations. In particular, the workers ask:
- An indexation of wages that adjusts them to the real increase in the cost of living.
- An increase in wages of at least 300 € monthly.
- The right to strike without limitations imposed by the guarantee bands.
- A reduction of working hours to 32 hours per week, while keeping the salary unchanged.
- Better conditions of safety for workers and for the services offered.
- The protest also includes political motivations, such as dissent towards the economic maneuver 2025 of the Meloni Government and the conviction against the genocide of the Palestinian people by the Israeli government.

During other hours, from 21:00 pm on Thursday to 21:00 pm on Friday, the service is not guaranteed.
