The reasons for the strike

The strike called by the Trade Union Organization USB It was born from a series of requests and protests related to both working conditions and socially relevant issues. Among the main reasons we find:

  • Wage adjustment to link wages to real increases in the cost of living.
  • Contract renewal with a wage increase of at least 300 euro monthly.
  • Free exercise of the right to strike in essential public services, without the obligation to respect the guarantee bands, as occurs in other European Union countries.
  • Reduction of working hours a 32 hours per week at equal pay.
  • Improvement of the worker and service safety through:
    • Strengthening of cameras and security personnel.
    • Punctual maintenance of vehicles and infrastructure.
    • Installation of armored cabins with emergency buttons connected to the police.
  • Protest against the war and the alleged genocide of the Palestinian people by the Israeli government.
  • Opposition to the economic maneuver for 2025 approved by the Meloni Government.
