ANM 24-hour strike on February 24, Metro 1 and 6, Buses and Funiculars
Monday 24 February 2025 local public transport will be affected by one national strike of 24 hours called by the trade union USBThe agitation will involve the services of buses, trams, trolleybuses, funiculars and subways, with possible inconvenience for commuters. However, some services will be guaranteed service time slots, in compliance with current regulations.
Strike times and guaranteed time slots
The strike will start at 03:01 on February 24 and it will end at 03:00 on February 25, but the service will be guaranteed in some bands.
Bus, tram and trolleybus strike
Guaranteed races by 5: 30 8 to: 30 e by 17: 00 20 to: 00The last departures will take place 30 minutes before of the start of the strike and will resume 30 minutes after the end.
Funicular strike (Mergellina, Chiaia, Centrale and Montesanto)
Last ride of the morning guaranteed at 9:20, resumption of service at 17:00 and last evening ride at 19:50.
Metro Line 1 Strike:

The reasons for the strike
The national strike of local public transport was called to demand better safety conditions and a wage increase for workers in the sector. The main demands of the trade union USB concern:
- Workplace safety and vehicle maintenance: request for a greater attention to maintenance of trains, buses and facilities in stations. It is also requested that Strengthening surveillance cameras and security personnel.
- Protection of personnel on board: installation of armored cabins for drivers and workstations equipped with emergency buttons directly connected to law enforcement.
- Salary increase: request for a increase of at least 300 euros per month in line with the platform for the renewal of the collective agreement between bus, tram and inter-navigators.
