Friday 16 September 2022 there will be a strike of the means ANM in Naples which will involve the meter line 1, Chiaia funiculars, Montesanto, Centrale e Mergellina and the surface means, that is bus e tram.

Specifically, it will be a 4 hour strike that will begin at 11.30 then finish at 15.30, proclaimed by the UILTRASPORTI Trade Union Organization. In addition, for the same day an 8-hour strike was also proclaimed by the unions CGIL - CISL - UIL - UGL - FAISA CISAL - ORSA which will last from 9.00 am to 17.00 pm.

As always, there are plans guarantee periods, that is, the last races and the first races before and after the strike, for all the company's means of transport.

Recall that the Mergellina funicular has resumed its usual service in early September, while the Chiaia funicular will close for 6 months.

Bus, tram and trolleybus timetables

Buses, trams and trolley buses will do last runs up to 30 minutes earlier of the start of the strike and will resume service with first ran about 30 minutes later the end of the strike.

The reasons for the strike

As indicated in the official ANM notice, the 4-hour strike is called due to the "lack of recognition in the trade union agreement dated 02/08/2022 for Line 1 personnel, circulation, maintenance and fixed systems ". The 8-hour strike, on the other hand, is proclaimed for “interventions to protect front / line personnel by employers aimed at preventing and discouraging the violent and repeated attacks suffered”.
