Strike on Metro Lines 1 and 6, Bus and Tram on 18 July 2024
Thursday 18 July 2024, Napoli will be involved in one public transport strike of 4 hours. The ANM vehicles will join the protest, while Eav has announced that it will not participate. Let's see the details on the times and reasons for the strike.
The reasons for the strike
The public transport strike was called by trade unions FILT CGIL, FIT CISL, UILTRASPORTI, UGL FNA e FAISA CISAL. The main reasons behind the protest concern:
- Increase in wages for the recovery of purchasing power.
- Greater protections for workers in the sector.
- Enhancement of training professional.
- Countering aggression to the staff.
- Strengthening contractual welfare.
The ANM strike, guaranteed time slots and strike times
The means Anm will join the 4-hour strike, which will take place from 11: 30 to 15: 30. During this period, all public transport operated by the company will be at risk. However, the warranty ranges have been communicated to limit inconvenience to users.
The warranty ranges are as follows:
- Surface lines (tram, bus, trolleybus): the last departures will be made 30 minutes before the start of the strike, i.e. at 11:00 am, and will resume approximately 30 minutes after the end of the strike, i.e. at 16:00 pm
- Metro Line 1: last ride from Piscinola at 10 am, last ride from Garibaldi at 50 am. First ride from Piscinola at 10pm, first ride from Garibaldi at 50pm.
- Metro Line 6: last ride from Town Hall at 11am, from Mostra at 06am.
- Funicular (Mergellina, Centrale and Montesanto): last morning trip guaranteed at 11 am, the service will resume with the first afternoon trip at 20 pm.
EAV will not join the strike on July 18th because it will strike on July 21st
Eav, the Volturno Autonomous Body, has announced that it will not join the strike on 18 July. Therefore, the services managed by Eav will be operational regularly tomorrow. But be careful: a 4-hour company strike is planned for EAV Sunday 21 July 2024, announced by the OS OR.SA, which will be held from hours 08: 25 12 at: 25.
