Spinacorona Festival in Naples with 15 free concerts in 7 locations

Return the Spinacorona Festival a Napoli for 4 days di free concerts after a year's break due to the pandemic. The program will run from 30 September to 3 October 2021. They will be well 15 live in 7 location different of the city and the Festival, thus, reaches its fifth edition, always directed by Michele Campanella who is the creator.

The purpose of this beautiful event is to create a link between music and places in the city, locations that characterize its artistic and cultural heritage.

As mentioned, there will be 15 concerts that will unfold in ancient center with 40-minute performances by artists from the national and international scene.

The concert program

September 30th

  • 12.00: Raffaella Cardaropoli, an important international cellist, will perform at the University Library of Naples in via Giovanni Paladino
  • 21.00 pm: Michele Campanella and the ORT (orchestra of Tuscany) will perform at the Trianon Viviani Theater together with the Vocal Ensemble of Naples directed by Antonio Spagnolo.
    Following will be the Concerto n.5 and Ludwig Van Beethoven's Choral Fantasy.

1 October

  • 15.30: Simonide Braconi on viola and Monaldo Braconi on piano will perform pieces by Schubert, Hindemith and the same solo violist at the University Library of Naples
  • 17.15 pm: the Soloists of the ORT at the Physics Museum of the University of Naples will perform the Sextet op.48 by Antonín Dvořák
  • 19.00: at the Mineralogical Museum Michele Campanella will play some Mozartian rarities
  • 10.45: at the Museum of Physics there will be Javier Girotto with Gianni Iorio and Alessandro Gwis who will pay homage to Astor Piazzolla and Gerry Mulligan

2 October

  • 10.00: at the University Library of Naples the pianist Vito Reibaldi will play pieces of classical and jazz music
  • 12.00: the trio Alessandro Carbonare (clarinet), Simonide Braconi (viola) and Andrea Dindo (piano) will play pieces by Mozart and Schumann at the Chapel of Santa Restituta in the Duomo
  • 17.00 pm: in the Church of Santi Cosma e Damiano at the Banchi Nuovi there will be the Trio DeMoNe (Annalisa De Santis harp, Stefania Morselli flute, Alberto Negroni oboe) with pieces by four Italian twentieth century authors
  • 19.00 pm: in the Physics Museum there will be the actress and singer Adria Mortari with the pianist Salvatore Biancardi with Song and ballads by Kurt Weill on texts by Bertolt Brecht and three interludes from Sonatas by Paul Hindemith.
  • 21.00 pm: at the Real Mineralogical Museum, the performance of mezzosoprano Adriana Di Paola and pianist Monica Leone with Giuseppe Martucci's song of memories on verses by Rocco Pagliara.

3 October

  • 11.30 am: at the Trianon Viviani Theater with the pianists Monica Leone and Michele Campanella and the Vocal Ensemble of Naples directed by Antonio Spagnolo who will perform in Liszt's Dante-Symphonie. Sonia Bergamasco will be the narrator
  • 17.00 pm: in the Museum of Physics the performance of the Adorno Quartet with the clarinetist Alessandro Carbonare who will perform the Quintet op.115 by Brahms
  • 19.00 pm: in the Royal Museum of Mineralogy, there will be the Fine Arts Quartet with Michele Campanella at the piano to perform the Franck Quintet.
  • 21.00 pm: Salvatore Accardo, guest of honor of the Festival, will be present in the Sala Scarlatti of the Conservatory of San Pietro a Majella, who will close the Festival with an open rehearsal of Mozart's music with the Conservatory Orchestra.

Green Pass and reservation required

To participate in the Spinacorona Festival is it is mandatory to show the Green Pass. Also, you need to book individual events on the page of the Scabec.

The fourth edition on tv

To complete this beautiful initiative which resumes after a year off, come on Rai5 will be broadcast the previous edition of the Spinacorona Festival from 18 to 22 October at 18.00. There will be 5 episodes with Beethoven's 9 Symphonies in Franz Liszt's piano transcriptions recorded in the Church of Donnaregina Vecchia.

We will be able to see also five special walks in Naples with Maestro Campanella and the writer Maurizio De Giovanni strolling in some beloved by the two.

Instead, on the Spinacorona YouTube channel you can see the Special Beethoven in the Reggia with the Sonata op.111 played by Michele Campanella in the rooms of the Bourbon Palace in Portici, Enzo Salomone's reading of Thomas Mann's words dedicated to this piece in the Doktor Faustus.
