Strettule, the Postiglionese Taste Routes. Traditions, flavors and adventure in Campania

From 13 to 15 December 2024, the picturesque historic center of Postiglione, in the province of Salerno, will host the third edition of “Strettile, the paths of Postiglione taste”, an event that celebrates the local flavors and the most authentic traditions of Campania. During these three days, the town will be transformed into a suggestive setting, full of cultural, food and wine, historical and tourist events which will involve both residents and visitors from all over the region and beyond.

What will you find at Strettule 2024?

Tights offers an unrepeatable food and wine experience: the streets of the historic center of Postiglione will come alive with the traditional “inns” set up in residents' homes, where local restaurateurs will offer typical dishes of the Postiglione tradition. Among the culinary specialties offered, there will be no shortage of ancient recipes that characterize the gastronomic heritage of this area of ​​Salerno. Among the dishes not to be missed will be the bean soup with pork rinds, the hanging caciocavallo, and the wild fennel sausages.

The food and wine stands will open on Friday and Saturday evenings starting at 19:00, while on Sunday they will be active all day, from 9: 00 until midnight. Visitors will be able to taste the best local dishes, accompanied by wines from Campania and other locally produced delights.

Activities for adults and children

It's not just the food that makes it special Tights: during the event there will be numerous activities for adults and children. The historic center will host craft and typical products markets, Besides performances by street artists and road safety entertainment aimed at children.

Local Culture and Traditions: An Immersive Experience

Friday 13th December, the official opening of the event will be marked by the conference “Sport, Tourism and Wellbeing in Internal Areas: opportunities and projects”, which will be held at 18:00 at the Norman Castle “Da Procida” in Postiglione. This will be followed by Ribbon cutting of the food and wine trail 19:00, giving way to the stands and inns that will offer traditional flavors.

Saturday 14th December, starting from 16:00, there will be the inauguration of the art exhibition “Beyond the Image” at the Norman Castle, curated by the painter Rosella MastaliaThe day will continue with the opening of the inns and with music and shows until late at night.

Sunday 15th December, instead, the activities will be distributed throughout the day: in addition to the food and wine stands open for lunch and dinner, visitors will be able to participate in shows, guided tours and outdoor activities designed for adults and children.
