Naples ring road

The Naples ring road will be affected by important works that will last about 3 or 4 years, as stated by Roberto Tomasi, director of the Autostrade Roberto Tomasi Group.

These are necessary interventions for the making the bypass safe, for technological adaptation and for applying solutions sustainable, all included in a program that plans to invest 150 million euros to complete the works and which is part of the broader plan for the modernization of the motorway network.

What are the interventions

We will have a ring road safer and more modern and also i viaducts and gallery they will be adapted to the most modern anti-seismic standards.

Here is how it will be done:

  • the anti-noise barriers of Corso Malta will be replaced;
  • solar panels will be installed to make the ring road even greener;
  • the flooring will be regenerated;
  • the Argo technological system for infrastructure monitoring will be applied;
  • a new fiber optic network will be installed;
  • there will be new safety systems and an innovative grazing lighting system to save 15% of energy, thus also increasing safety and visibility.

Minimized inconvenience for travelers

The CEO of Tangenziale di Napoli, Luigi Massa, stated that i inconvenience to travelers will be minimized.

As for the viaducts, work will be carried out on the outside off the roadway, while for the galleries yes will work at night reducing the carriageway in the hours when traffic is minimal.

Probable increases in tolls

As mentioned a few days ago, from July increases are expected for motorway tolls and, considering that the bypass is a section managed by Autostrada per l'Italia, these increases could affect it.

The news it's not official yet because the price increases are still in the preliminary phase.
