Transport in Campania: New fares starting October 1st

Starting October 1, 2026, local public transport fares will change in Campania. The adjustment was ordered by the Region with Management Decree no. 55 of July 3, 2026 , to account for the increase in the ISTAT index , and only affects a portion of travel tickets.
The most important news is this: season tickets will not increase , while tickets will be adjusted. ANM and EAV , in particular, have decided to leave their corporate ticket prices unchanged.
What increases and what remains unchanged
The adjustment affects single-journey tickets , hourly tickets , urban day passes , and on-board tickets with a surcharge. Weekly, monthly, and annual passes , however, remain unchanged , and therefore continue to be the most convenient solution for those who travel every day.
The request for an update came from industry operators and trade associations of local public transport companies. The reasons cited are twofold: the time elapsed since the last update and the increase in operating costs , particularly fuel and energy , linked to the international situation.
ANM and EAV, company tickets unchanged
Both companies have chosen not to adjust the prices of their travel tickets. Confirmation comes from a statement from EAV , the Autonomous Authority of Volturno: "Starting October 1st, the UnicoCampania Consortium will update the prices of integrated hourly and daily tickets. For EAV customers, however, there will be no increase: all company travel ticket prices, for both rail and bus services, will remain unchanged."
The company describes this as "an important confirmation for those who choose Eav every day for their travel," with company share prices remaining stable to "guarantee continuity and convenience for our customers."
Tickets already purchased remain valid
A useful clarification for those with a stash of tickets at home: according to Unico Campania, tickets already purchased do not need to be exchanged and can be used until your personal supplies run out . Therefore, there is no obligation to replace them before October 1st.
Those who use public transport regularly can still evaluate the season ticket, which is not subject to the adjustment: the comparison between single tickets and season tickets is especially useful for commuters and students, as the updated table on tickets and season tickets for transport in Naples reminds us.
What's changing in Naples and Campania
The adjustment does not affect integrated tickets in their entirety: the change concerns the items indicated by the decree and not the company prices of ANM and EAV. For those traveling with integrated tickets, the update concerns hourly and daily tickets.
In October, the transport calendar is already packed with events: the complete picture is in our update on the transport strikes scheduled for October 2026.
