The taxi sharing service arrives in Naples to move on routes that can be borrowed paying only 2 euro!
Il taxi sharing service in Naples, Or the shared taxi, will start with one inaugural race Thursday 27 October 2016. It will work, in general, on 7 pre-established routes at the very cheap price of 2 € and for up to 8 passengers on board.
It can be used by all taxi drivers who want to participate in their service. The taxi drivers participating in this useful initiative will find themselves in special areas for taxi sharing and they will show a table in which they will indicate the route they will take.
The fare for each passenger, as mentioned, will be only 2 euros and for the moment the service will be on an experimental basis.
La first departure is expected to Thursday October 27 from Piazza Principe Umberto, while the other itineraries will be activated after the first weekend in November.
Taxi drivers will be able to decide freely whether to dedicate themselves to the taxi sharing service or to the standard one and can also carry out both. For example, when stationing, the taximeter can be turned off and the shared service can be started or vice versa.
La news exceptional taxi sharing service is that every taxi can pick up and drop off your passengers at bus stops. Therefore, passengers will also be able to get out of the car before arriving at their destination and take a bus.
Most likely the service will be extended, but we await any information about it by the City Council. For example, for tourists, new destinations could be added with museums e places of interest.
