The series L'Amica Geniale 4 will soon be back on the small screen, specifically on Rai Uno. Naples is once again at the centre of the film set, this time the location chosen for filming is the evocative Via Petrarca in Posillipo , a perfect area to evoke the 80s and 90s , in order to recreate the settings of the plot of the series based on the novels by Elena Ferrante.
The fourth season will focus on the final volume of the series, titled “The Story of the Lost Child,” set between the early 1980s and the 2000s.

Posillipo Street is one of the main locations for the upcoming television series, which began filming in December 2022. To make the location perfect for the set, some changes were made to the surrounding area, including moving a bus stop and changing the signs of some shops.
The first filming in Posillipo will begin on January 18, 2023 , and will conclude on January 21, 2023. Further filming will take place indoors until February. The scenes will take place primarily on the stretch of Via Petrarca between number 140 and the bend just after the Bar del Serpentone, with a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Naples as a backdrop.
The tree-lined avenue represents an ideal setting for the series, with Mount Vesuvius and Capri providing the backdrop. A traffic control system imposed by the City of Naples will be in place for filming.

The series is expected to be broadcast in 2024 and, in addition to Naples , scenes will also be filmed in Tuscany and France , at least according to recent rumours.
