The night of the Oscars, the 95th edition, is upon us! It is one of the most awaited film events of the year, which promises to give emotions, surprises and a pinch of unpredictability, making the event even more magical!
But who will be the candidate films and favorite actors?

The night of the Oscars, now in its 95th edition since 1929, rewards the best actors, directors and set designers in the world of cinema.
The awards ceremony will be held the 12 March at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles and will be conducted for the third time by Jimmy Kimmel, which has already presented the 2017 and 2018 editions.
Meanwhile, the bookmakers are already working to establish the favorites for the evening.
The predictions on the winners for best film, best actor and best actress in a leading and supporting role
In terms of predictions, the film Everything Everywhere All Ot Once seems to be one of the favorites for the Best Picture category, while Elvis seems to be a less likely candidate.
The eligible candidates for best leading actor
However, Austin Butler, the protagonist of Elvis, is among the favorites for the category of best actor protagonist.
Brendan Fraser in the movie The whale e Colin Farrell with The Spirits of the Island are instead in contention for the same category but less favourites, although Fraser enjoys a great response from the public and the jury could follow the trend.
In contention for best leading actress
Among the nominees for Best Actress in a Leading Role we find big names, such as Yeoh Michelle with “Everything Everywhere All at Once” and Cate Blanchett with “Tàr”, the latter having already taken home the awards for Best Actress in a Drama Film and the Volpi Cup at Venice.
Less favored but always ready to compete is Ana De Armas with her interpretation of Marilyn Monroe in Blonde, slightly below Margot Robbie in Babylon, Michelle Williams for The Fabelmans, Viola Davis for The Woman King and Danielle Deadwyler in Till.
Predictions for Best Supporting Actor
As for the Best Supporting Actor category, Jonathan Ke Quan is the favorite as he already took home a full Golden Globe for “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” followed by Brad Pitt for Babylon, Eddie Redmayne for The Good Nurse and the duo Brendan Gleeson and Berry Keoghan for The Island Spirits.
Unlikely, but mentioned by some, we find Paul Dano in The Fabelmans.
Predictions for Best Supporting Actress
On the female side, we find Angela Basset at the top with her performance in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. If she were to win, she would be the first Marvel character to win (and participate in) an Oscar.
Close behind are Hong Chau for The Whale, Kerry Condon for The Island Spirits, and Jamie Lee Curtis and Stephanie Hsu for Everything Everywhere All at Once.
Less likely, but cited by some, is Dolly de Leon for Triangle of Sadness.
What will make the evening even more exciting will undoubtedly be the surprises and twists that have not been lacking in recent years.
