Sisi in rerun, previews and episode plot June 6, 2023
Tuesday 6 June 2023, marks the return of “Sissi“, a famous German series produced by RTL, on the Italian small screen thanks to Channel 5.
La plot is based on the life of the well-known duchess Elizabeth of Bavaria, better known as Empress Sissi, offers an insight from her youth to her ascension to the throne as Empress of Austria. The actress Domonique Devenport gives the face to the protagonist, with Jannik Schumann as Emperor Franz.
This series is composed at the moment two seasons, each of which consists of six episodes, previously broadcast by Canale 5.
Sissi episode plots aired on June 6th
Episode 1, 21:20: In the first installment, we are introduced to Elizabeth of Bavaria, called Sissi, a young woman who loves nature and freedom, who has a great passion for writing and reading poetry. The balance of her life is disturbed when her mother forces her to join her older sister, the Duchess Elena or “Nene”, a Ischl, place where a chance encounter with theEmperor Franz during an excursion on horseback, which triggers an undeniable mutual attraction.
Episode 2, 22:25: As the wedding between Elisabeth and Franz approaches, Sissi she is called to adapt to the rules of court life. However, the attitude of the Duke Max, Sissi's father, turns out to be against this marriage, causing tension with Franz. Later, an unexpected experience in a brothel introduces Sissi to the figure of Fanny, a young prostitute who will become his confidante.
Episode 3, 23:36: Episode 3 sees the young girl Sissi grappling with married life and the rigid formalities of the Habsburg ceremonial, which leads her to feel Franz more and more distant. In spite of everything, Sissi will be able to find a foothold in a Hungarian patriot named Louis.
