The Promise closes, last episode on September 22nd, will it return?

Talking about soap operas, we often think of endless stories and characters that almost become family members. But what happens when one of these stories suddenly ends?

Well, that's what's happening with "The promise", the series that lit up the television summer and what time takes an unscheduled break.

The success of “La Promessa”, rewarded by the public

To say that “The Promise” was a big hit that might be an understatement. The Spanish soap opera managed to glue an average of 1,8 million viewers a day, with peaks that touched the sky of the auditel, reaching the 25 %.

Not bad, considering it was a summer debut. Manuel and Jana, the protagonists of this exciting story, have managed to steal the hearts of Italians, even challenging sacred monsters such as "Men and Women".

When does “La Promessa” close?

In spite of his resounding success, “The Promise” will have to take a step back. The last episode will be broadcast on Friday 22 September.

From September 25th, will in fact disappear from the radar of Channel 5. The reason? Making room for television newcomers: “Amici 23” and “Big Brother 2023” are preparing to invade the scene, relegating our beloved soap to a corner of the schedule. Thus, the love story between Manuel and Jana will have to wait for more clement times for its continuation.

When will “The Promise” restart with the new season?

Fans of the series can breathe a sigh of relief, however. It won't be a goodbye, but a goodbye. “The Promise” will return to the small screen in 2024, probably occupying the time that “Terra Amara” will be left vacant.

So, arm yourself with patience: the sentimental adventures and entanglements of Jana and Manuel they will return to keep us company, and from next summer we will be able to tune in to this indispensable saga again.
