The plot of Belcanto
Set in the second half of the nineteenth century, Nice singing follows the events of Mary Leather (Vittoria Puccini) and her two daughters: Antonia (Caterina Ferioli) and Carolina (Adriana Savarese). The three women flee from Napoli to escape the violence of Maria's husband, Iginio Leather (Antonio Gerardi), and chase the dream of becoming singers in Milan. The miniseries explores their entry into the world of Opera, an environment as fascinating as it is ruthless.
