What will Mare Fuori 6 be about? The war between Rosa and Carmela

What will the sixth season of Mare Fuori be about? It's the question that continues to circulate among fans and enthusiasts, while theories and hypotheses on the possible narrative heart of the new chapter. Even if the Filming will start in the summer, the anticipation is already high.
The series was officially confirmed, and debut on RaiPlay is expected between February and March 2026, immediately after the Festival of Sanremo, as usual. In the meantime, all attention remains on the directions the plot will take, between old and new characters, evolving dynamics and possible reversals within theIPM of Naples.
What will Mare Fuori 6 be about? Carmela vs Rosa
The most accredited hypotheses see the sixth season revolving around the clash between Rosa and Carmela for the control of Naples. Ricci's former best friend, after losing Edoardo and killing Milos, now seems ready to conquer the city without submitting to anyone. If two main theories were confirmed, the feud would be inevitable:
- Carmela allegedly ordered the killing of Donna Wanda, even though Rosa had expressly asked not to act.
- Carmela allegedly tried to kill Rosa, ending up shooting Tommaso in the final scene of season 5.

In both cases, it would be a question of actions that openly challenge the authority of Rosa Ricci, who inherited the leadership of the Ricci clan but now finds herself threatened by an equally determined and ruthless figure.
Carmela and Rosa have known each other forever. They were allies, confidants, almost sisters. But the dynamics of criminal power do not allow for double leadership. One wants to consolidate the order, the other wants to dominate it. A war now seems written.
Donna Carmela becomes the protagonist
During the fifth season, Carmela has gone from a secondary character to a key figure of the story. After Edoardo's death, she did not hesitate to take the reins of his world, acting with coldness and cunning. First eliminating Milos, then (perhaps) Wanda, and finally probably orchestrating an attempted murder against Rosa. All gestures that speak clearly: he doesn't want to be in anyone's shadow anymore.
Mare Fuori 6 could therefore delve deeper into the contrast between two models of female leadership: the one more tied to tradition and a sense of justice (Rosa), and the one devoted to strength and independence (Carmela). The two former friends would thus become the protagonists of a personal and ideological war, destined to redefine the future of the series.
With many historical characters gone, Mare Fuori needs a new emotional and narrative focus. And the rivalry between Rosa and Carmela has all the credentials to become one.
