Truth or Dare by Alessia Marcuzzi, when it comes out and what it's about
Debuts Monday 24 March 2025 su Rai2 a new prime time show, designed to transform the light atmosphere of a party game in a real TV show. It is called Truth or Dare and is led by Alessia Marcozzi, with the production entrusted to Rai e Fremantle Italy.
In little more than ninety minutes, guests they get involved in a tight tangle of questions, surprising evidence, laughter and moments of authentic comparison. No one can consider themselves truly safe from the dynamics triggered: each participant is forced to choose whether to tell their own story truth or accept a unpredictable obligation, thus generating a mix of Entertainment e confessions which winks at the format of the talk show, but turns it around.
What is Truth or Dare about?
The heart of the program is as simple as it is effective: Alessia Marcuzzi welcomes around a table a series of guests from different worlds - entertainment, sport, music, information - and puts them to the test with uncomfortable questions o irreverent challenges, just like in the famous game. Moments of lightheartedness alternate with food for thought, between personal confessions and well-orchestrated jokes. The tone remains brilliant, but often the answers – or the dares – bring to the surface unseen sides of the guests.
How the game works in the studio
The format revolves around two key moments:
- Truth or Dare: a guest, chosen at random, must face an embarrassing question or absurd test. He can choose, but he cannot escape.
- Only you: a personalized barrage of questions and dares tailor-made for a single guest, designed to reveal who they really are, between laughter and more intimate moments.
Between one challenge and another, Marcuzzi leads with her usual irony, leaving room for jokes, sketches and lively exchanges between the guests.
When does Truth or Dare air?
The first episode will be aired Monday 24 March 2025 in prime time at 21pm on Rai20. A weekly appointment that promises to bring a new energy to Monday evenings, between games and stories.
How many episodes will there be of the program?
Truth or Dare will consist of 5 episodes in total, broadcast every Monday evening until April 21, 2025. A short but intense cycle, which marks Alessia Marcuzzi's debut in the talk show genre. The Italian adaptation of the French format "Action ou vérité" focuses on irony, vivacity and the ability to lay bare, between one laugh and another, even the deepest aspects of the guests.
