Why will Eurovision be held in Switzerland?
Switzerland won the right to host the event thanks to the victory of Nemo in Eurovision 2024. This marks the contest's return to the country after 36 years, the last time was at Lausanne in 1989. Basel was selected among several Swiss cities for its organizational capacity and advanced infrastructure.

THESt.Jakobshalle Arena is a multipurpose facility that has hosted numerous international events, including concerts and major sports tournaments.
