The series is currently in production and will debut on the platform in 2026, promising to bring back to the screen the irony, melancholy and depth that have always distinguished his storytelling.
When is "Due Spicci" coming out on Netflix?
L'uscita di Two Pennies is scheduled for the 2026, though Netflix has not yet announced a specific date. The series was officially revealed during Lucca Comics & Games il 1 November 2025, with an interactive installation dedicated to fans and a video announcement projected in Piazza San Michele.
Produced by Movements Production (part of Banijay Kids & Family) and created in collaboration with BAO Publishing, the series will be written and directed by Zerocalcare. To give voice to the iconic Armadillo, the sharp and ironic conscience of the protagonist, will return Valerio Mastandrea, already an interpreter of the author's previous projects.
What will the new series "Due Spicci" be about?
Netflix and the author have not yet revealed details about the plot, but it is easy to guess the tone and atmosphere that will characterize Two Pennies. As in previous works, the series will probably be a story halfway between autobiography, social criticism and generational reflection, in which Zerocalcare manages to mix comedy and introspection with an authentic and recognizable voice.
