The world of Italian animation is preparing for a new chapter signed Zerocalcare. An announcement in perfect Zerocalcare style
As per tradition, the author chose a creative and ironic way to share the news with the public. The day before the reveal, a statue appeared in the heart of Lucca. giant Armadillo installation, the inner conscience of the protagonist, inviting fans to guess the title of the new series.
The hypotheses, writings and messages of the visitors have become part of a special video culminating with the official reveal of the name by Zerocalcare himself, giving fans a moment of collective participation and shared enthusiasm.

Without revealing the plot, the title Two Pennies suggests the author's typical tone: a blend of irony, introspection, and social criticism. Even in this new series, Valerio Mastandrea will return to give voice to the Armadillo, a symbolic and essential presence in Zerocalcare's narrative universe.
The project confirms the collaboration with Movements Production (part of Banijay Kids & Family) e BAO Publishing, the same production companies that accompanied the author in his previous animated works. The series will be written and directed by Zerocalcare, consolidating his dual identity as a cartoonist and director.
