It's coming out in theaters today The House – The Burning of Evil (Evil Dead Burn), the sixth installment in the popular horror franchise created by Sam Raimi. Directed by French director Sébastien Vanicek, the film opens in Italian theaters on July 8, 2026, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.

What the series is about?

The story follows Alice, a young woman who returns to the family home after years of absence to settle inheritance matters. What should be a short stay turns into a nightmare when she discovers a Necronomicon wrapped in barbed wire and a tape recorder containing the last messages of his missing father. Reading some passages of the cursed book awakens an ancient evil entity that transforms those present into deadite, demonically possessed, devoid of all humanity. Alice must fight to survive until dawn, while the fire devouring the house seems the only way to stop the evil.

The director

Sébastien Vanicek, French director already known for the film La maschera, brings his dark and claustrophobic visual style to the world of Evil Dead. The screenplay, written by Vanicek himself and Florent Bernard, maintains the iconic splatstick tone that made the series famous: blood, dark humor, and constant tension.
