My Sweet Lie: First Week of August Plot on Channel 5

My Sweet Lie is the new Turkish soap opera debuting on Canale 5 on Monday, August 3, 2026, at 2:45 PM. It stars Nejat (Furkan Palalı), a father who, to protect his daughter Kayra from the truth about her mother's abandonment, tells her a "sweet lie." Here are the plots for the first week, from August 3 to 7.

Monday August 3

Nejat lovingly raises little Kayra after his wife Aylin leaves her soon after her birth. To soothe her, he tells her that her mother is in Africa helping needy children, and to make the story credible, he regularly writes her letters and postcards signed by Aylin.

Tuesday August 4

While Nejat continues his deception, Suna and Saniye learn from Şevket about the debts accumulated by Rafet , Suna's brother. Rafet tries to talk to Tahsin to find a solution and pay off the debt.

Wednesday August 5

Kayra eagerly awaits her sixth birthday, convinced her mother will return to celebrate it with her. Nejat is increasingly worried: he knows the little girl will suffer when she realizes her mother will never return.

Thursday August 6th

Kayra mistakes Suna for her mother. Nejat, not wanting to disappoint his daughter, suggests that she pretend to be her mother during the birthday party. Suna initially finds the situation absurd, but then agrees.

Friday August 7th

After the party, Suna leaves and Nejat tells Kayra that her mother has returned to Africa. The little girl refuses to accept this answer, runs away from school, and accuses her father of letting her mother go away as soon as she returned.

My Sweet Lie will air on Canale 5 from Monday to Friday at 14.45pm starting from 3 August 2026.
