The East Palace, the new Korean dark fantasy K-drama, arrives on Netflix on July 17, 2026. A series that promises to enthrall lovers of the oriental fantasy genre, with a story full of mystery, spirits, and secrets buried for thirty years.

The plot

The East Palace follows Gu-cheon , a ghost hunter, and Saeng-gang , a lady-in-waiting with the ability to communicate with the dead. The two are summoned by the King to investigate a cursed royal palace and the vengeful spirits that inhabit it. Their mission: to uncover the secrets and break a thirty-year curse that threatens the royal family.

The cast

The main cast is led by Nam Joo-hyuk as Gu-cheon, the ghost hunter, and Roh Yoon-seo as Saeng-gang, the court lady with psychic powers. The main trio is rounded out by Cho Seung-woo as the King , an enigmatic figure harboring dark secrets.
