Big Brother VIP is warming up for the ninth season, which will almost certainly return to Canale 5 in September. Ilary Blasi has been confirmed as host , alongside commentators Cesara Buonamici and Selvaggia Lucarelli. Now, Chi magazine has released the scoop: the first official contestant is Giulia Provvedi , one of the Donatellas. Here's what we know.

Chi's scoop on Giulia Provvedi

According to the weekly magazine published by Mondadori, Giulia Provvedi will be one of the VIPs on the ninth season of Big Brother VIP. This would be a homecoming for the singer: in 2018, she participated in the same show with her sister Silvia , with whom she forms the musical duo Le Donatella . This time, assuming the news is confirmed by Mediaset, she would be taking on the adventure alone. Provvedi has been in a relationship with sports agent Andrea Riso since 2022: the two have made their relationship official, albeit with extreme secrecy. The rumor, also reported by several publications including ComingSoon, comes at a time of great anticipation for reality TV viewers, who in recent weeks have been following numerous rumors about the cast without any official confirmation. If Chi's scoop is confirmed, Provvedi would be the first confirmed name in an edition that promises to be full of surprises and twists.

The conduction and cast are being defined

As mentioned, the show will be hosted by Ilary Blasi , confirmed as host after previous seasons. Returning to the studio alongside her will be commentators Cesara Buonamici and Selvaggia Lucarelli , now a fixture in the narrative of Italy's most closely watched house. Regarding the cast, several rumors have circulated in recent weeks, none of which have yet been confirmed. Among the most talked-about names is Alessandra Pierelli , Costantino Vitagliano's ex-girlfriend, who, according to gossip expert Deianira Marzano, is in talks to join the house. Rumors also suggest Gabriele Govoni and Giovanni Grazioso, former faces of Temptation Island, could also join, as well as Ilona Staller, aka Cicciolina, former Uomini e Donne knight Armando Incarnato, and showgirl Valeria Marini. The newspaper Leggo relaunched these names, while the participation of Rocco Casalino, Giuseppe Conte's former spokesman, was denied.

The return of reality TV and public expectations

The ninth season of Big Brother VIP promises to be one of the most anticipated in recent years, especially since the reality show returns after a hiatus and with a format aimed at reconquering Canale 5's audience. Ilary Blasi's confirmation as host signals continuity, while the selection of contestants will be crucial to the program's success. Giulia Provvedi's name, if confirmed, would have strong media appeal, thanks to her notoriety with the duo Le Donatella and her past participation in the reality show, which made her a household name. The start date, almost certainly set for September, and the full list of contestants remain unclear. For fans of the genre, meanwhile, the countdown has already begun: between confirmations, denials, and new rumors, the road to the premiere promises to be full of twists and turns, as is the tradition of Italy's most watched program.
