The Promise , the Spanish soap opera airing on Canale 5 , continues with new, emotionally charged episodes. Here are the previews for the week of Sunday, August 9th to Saturday, August 15th, 2026.

Adriano decides to stay

At the Promessa, no one wants Adriano and the twins to leave the estate after Catalina 's departure . So Martina makes a last-ditch effort to convince him to stay. Meanwhile, Petra 's condition is rapidly deteriorating, and none of the treatments she's given seem to be working.

Ricardo goes to the Marquis, asking him to let Pia return to the palace, but receives a negative response: the decision depends solely on Cristóbal . Meanwhile, Santos continues to harshly attack his father, hoping to force him into making a mistake, but Ricardo does not fall for his son's provocations.

In the end, Adriano decides to stay at La Promessa, entrusting the administration of the lands to Leocadia and Jacobo . Jacobo takes Martina's place, allowing her to dedicate herself to Adriano, the children, and the Patronato's activities.

Petra's diagnosis

Petra 's condition continues to deteriorate, until Dr. Salazar confirms the dire diagnosis: the housekeeper is suffering from advanced tetanus , a disease that appears to leave her with no chance of survival. Samuel and Cristóbal inform everyone of the dire situation, and the doctor announces the existence of an experimental serum against tetanus: obtaining it, however, is extremely difficult and expensive.

Meanwhile, Ricardo's departure shocks the entire household, especially Santos, who discovers that the letter his father left was intended for Lope . Lope harshly reprimands him for his constant behavior toward his father. Curro demands from Don Cristóbal that Pia return to La Promessa, while Vera , disappointed by her brother's behavior, decides to permanently sever all contact with Lope.

Enora and Toño: the wedding

Toño tells Manuel of his intention to marry Enora and asks him to be his godfather. At the same time, the final rift between Curro and Ángela occurs : during a family dinner, Captain de la Mata officially asks for the young woman's hand in marriage, which, under pressure, she accepts with obvious discomfort. Curro, in love with her, is devastated at the thought of her marrying another man.

Enora and Toño plan their wedding, but discover that an ancient rule of the estate forbids servants to marry before their masters. Manuel, however, clarifies that this tradition is no longer valid. Meanwhile, the young man begins to suspect her behavior: Toño discovers that Enora is stealing their plans every evening using a ruse. The young woman explains her reasons, but the true motives for her behavior remain a mystery.

Ricardo's farewell and Pia's return

Adriano continues to suffer from Catalina's absence, and Leocadia decides to hire a private investigator to track her down. Later, however, she confesses to Cristóbal that the investigator doesn't exist and that it was all a fabrication.

Pia finally returns to La Promessa and discovers that Ricardo has left the estate specifically so she can return. However, the atmosphere among the servants remains tense due to Don Cristóbal's strict system of sanctions, and Simona tries in vain to persuade him to soften. Pia, exhausted and torn between her chores, confesses to the cooks that she is considering leaving La Promessa to join the man she loves.

Vera asks Don Cristóbal for permission to be away for two days, claiming she needs to visit a dying uncle. Lope, worried about Vera's absence, decides to call the palace of the Dukes of Carril to inquire about her… Finally, Ángela asks Leocadia to convince Lorenzo to postpone the wedding to the captain.
