The 2027 Sanremo Music Festival will have a special guest: Maneskin will be back together on the Ariston stage. Stefano De Martino , host and artistic director of the 77th edition, confirmed this in an interview with TV Sorrisi e Canzoni. This is a long-awaited reunion for the Roman band, their first since a hiatus that allowed the four members to focus on individual projects.

De Martino's Confirmation on TV Sorrisi e Canzoni

"Guests will include Maneskin and international stars," announced De Martino, who is leading the Festival as artistic director for the first time. The 2027 edition, scheduled for February 16-20 , promises to combine big Italian names with international acts.

Details are scarce at the moment: it hasn't been clarified which evening the band will perform or what the format of their return to the stage will be. The group's official social media channels haven't provided any further information either. In the meantime, the host is working on the Festival's two overarching themes: "entertainment, meaning hosting and the show, and the musical cast," as he himself explained.

From "Zitti e buoni" to worldwide success

Maneskin's presence represents a major coup precisely because Sanremo marked one of the defining moments of their career. In 2021, the band won the Festival with "Zitti e buoni ," before winning the Eurovision Song Contest a few months later. Since then, international tours, world charts, and accolades have made Damiano David, Victoria De Angelis, Thomas Raggi, and Ethan Torchio one of the most well-known Italian acts abroad.

Rush!, their third studio album, was released in January 2023 , featuring singles such as Mammamia, Supermodel, and The Loneliest. Their awards include two MTV Video Music Awards: Best Alternative for "I Wanna Be Your Slave" in 2022 and Best Rock Video for "The Loneliest" in 2023, as well as a nomination for Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards.

The break and solo projects

Then came the hiatus, a decision that fueled rumors of a possible breakup, though neither party made it official. Instead, the four used this period for individual experiences: the most visible solo journey was that of Damiano David , who released the album Funny Little Fears in 2025, bringing it to Italian and international stages.

The return to Sanremo therefore takes on a special meaning: it will be an opportunity to see the four members together again in the very place where, with their victory in 2021, their consecration began.

A reunion yes, but the band's future remains to be written

De Martino spoke of Maneskin exclusively as guests of the Festival. There was no mention of a new album, unreleased singles, or a possible tour: the reunion on the Ariston stage does not, at least for now, represent the announcement of the band's definitive return.

Anyone who wants to see Maneskin in concert can retrace the group's Neapolitan stage with the official setlist , while to stay up to date on the Festival there is the memory of LDA and Aka7even at Sanremo 2026.

When will Sanremo 2027 be held?

The Festival is scheduled for February 16 to 20, 2027 , at the Ariston in Sanremo, with Stefano De Martino in the dual role of host and artistic director.

What night will Maneskin perform?

No announcement has been made yet. De Martino confirmed the band's presence among the guests, but the date and format of their return will be announced at a later date.

Maneskin have disbanded

No, the breakup was never made official. The members simply took a break to focus on individual projects, such as Damiano David's solo album Funny Little Fears, released in 2025.
