Ten Lunes: the author's festival at the Domus Ars in Naples

Will be held from 12 to 14 April 2013 the third edition of the Festival Dieci Lune, the event dedicated toindependent publishing and the enhancement of authors of any artistic discipline, from literature to music, from cinema to theater, from narrative to visual arts.

Il Festival of the Author Ten Moons it is inspired by the title of the anthological collection of the publishing house Bel-Ami, a literary club that offers notoriety to all the authors, poets, writers, cartoonists and talented but deserving dramatists of greater success.

The Festival will also be hosted this year from Domus Ars Culture Center, the Church of San Francesco delle Monache located in via Santa Chiara, which dedicates its suggestive spaces to the promotion of culture and all artistic forms.

Ten Lune Festival of the author Domus Ars Napoli

From the 12 14 2013 April it will be possible to assist, free admission, at vernissages, art and photography exhibitions and exhibitions, round tables and debates, theatrical performances, concerts and musical performances, meetings with writers and experts in the publishing sector, seminars and workshops.

Among the most anticipated guests this year: Maurizio de Giovanni, author of detective stories including the series starring Commissioner Ricciardi, and For my hand, a novel from which a television drama with Riccardo Scamarcio will be based; the writer, journalist and screenwriter Diego De Silva; the director, poet, actor and playwright Arnolfo Petri, artistic director of the Il Primo Theater in Naples.

The aim of the Festival is to give voice and space to small independent publishing realities by becoming one showcase of stable promotion of emerging authors. These aspects are very much felt in a city like Naples that is witnessing the gradual decline of those who until recently were the cornerstones of the Neapolitan publishing culture. Suffice it to recall the crisis that less than a year ago hit the Vomero bookshop, Guida Merliani, forced to close after decades of activity.

That's why from the 2013 the Dieci Lune Festival aims to open its doors to independent publishers, to which exhibition stands will be dedicated for the duration of the event.  Albus Edizioni, Ateneapoli, Bel-Ami Edizioni, Publisher Caracò, Homo Scrivens, Nero Press, Writing & Writing, are the independent publishing houses to which the Festival will give the opportunity to make themselves known by the public, with the aim of spreading a method of publication and of "publishing" non-profit, favoring the quality of the works, the novice authors and the most deserving ones .

The Dieci Lune Festival, according to its organizers, aspires to fill the void left in our city by the Galaxy Gutenberg event, the Italian book fair that took place in Naples from 2005 to 2009. The event, conceived by the publisher Franco Liguori, represented an important opportunity for contemporary literature and readers to meet.

The Bel-Ami National Literary Competition 2013

Parallel to the Festival, the Bel-Ami National Literary Competition 2013, also this year in its third edition. The Dieci Lune Committee, in fact, collaborates with the Bel-Ami publishing house which every year offers the opportunity to young authors to present their unpublished works with the possibility of winning a publishing contract for the publication of their work. There are four sections in competition: Poetry, Fiction, Theater and Non-fiction.

The finalists of the competition, finished the 28 February, are twelve. Among them will be proclaimed the four winning authors (one for each section), with one awards ceremony which will take place during the 13 Saturday April Festival.
