The Campania Region will send a Neapolitan artistic nativity scene as a tribute to all the Italian Regions: a gesture to enhance our craftsmanship!

A Neapolitan artistic nativity scene it will come sent as a gift to each Italian Region and Autonomous Province: this is the initiative undertaken by the Campania Region, to pay homage and enhance craftsmanship of our Region, which was hit hard by the pandemic.

All the cribs that will be sent to the regions of Italy were produced by the following crib master craftsmen the ancient tradition of the Neapolitan eighteenth century, in short, a special gift that he brings with him history, traditions and craftsmanship.

The city of Naples, but also all of Campania, is very linked to its traditions, especially that of crib, so much so that in 2018 the recognition of the Neapolitan nativity scene was also proposed as intangible cultural heritage of Unesco.

In fact, just think of San Gregorio Armeno, the famous street in the historic center of Naples, which is known throughout the world for its historic crib shops, whose craftsmen with their skill and ability have created incredible masterpieces over the years. And it is right here, among these streets of the historic center, that you know each other the true essence of the tradition of the Neapolitan nativity scene.

The Ente di Santa Lucia, therefore, proposed this beautiful initiative, sending a piece of Naples to all of Italy precisely to make this incredible tradition known and enhance it.
