The Archaeological Excavations of Pompeii reopen to visitors: here are the new routes and all the rules to be respected for a safe visit!
Tuesday 27 April 2021 the Archaeological Excavations of Pompeii reopen to visitors with lots of news and routes. You can turn on the park from Tuesday to Sunday from 09:00 to 19:00 with last admission at 17:30.
Currently the closing day remains on Monday until 7 June 2021, after this date and throughout the summer the site will be open every day.

Finally it will be possible to return to safely visit the Archaeological Park of Pompeii. In fact, the visit will take place along a path that will be indicated by the signs placed appropriately within the site and on the application My Pompeii.
You will thus be able to visit i Preaedia by Giulia Felice, access long Via dell'Abbondanza to the most important domus, and then again admire the Porta Nocera necropolis, the Garden of the fugitives, up to the triangular forum. It will also be possible to visit the exhibition Venustas. Grace and Beauty in Pompeii.
If you want to visit directly instead the Antiquarium of Pompeii which has also been recently set up, then we advise you to enter from Piazza Esedra. Also from Piazza Anfiteatro is present Pompeii for all, a path without architectural barriers.
The anti-Covid rules 19
The visits to the Archaeological Park of Pompeii will take place in full compliance with anti-Covid rules 19 then with mandatory mask, measurement of body temperature, social distancing and frequent hand sanitation. The entrance and exit from the site will take place through the passage of Piazza Anfiteatro and Piazza Esedra.
The ticket it can be purchased at the ticket office and on the official website and must be shown upon entry. In particular for Saturdays and Sundays, the purchase must necessarily be made online the previous day, while on weekdays the purchase can also be made on the same day until availability is exhausted.
In fact, until 13:00, for each time slot scheduled every 15 minutes, access will be guaranteed to 500 people, after 13:00 the access will be allowed to 300 people per shift, a delay of up to 10 minutes compared to the time that was chosen at the time of booking.
