The Maschio Angioino recalls the entry of Alfonso of Aragon in Naples: treasure hunt and re-enactments

World Diabetes Day 2016 in Naples

At the Maschio Angioino in Naples we remember the entry of Alfonso I of Aragon with historical re-enactments, visits and treasure hunts!

Sunday 26 February 2017 at the Maschio Angioino of Naples he will remember the triumphal entry of the sovereign Alfonso I of Aragon in the Neapolitan city. It was February 26, 1443 when the sovereign, known as the "Magnanimous" entered the city after declaring the union of the Kingdom of Sicily with that of Naples.

In recent years, many researches and some discoveries have hypothesized that the history of the sovereign Alfonso I of Aragon crossed with that of the Holy Grail to the point of suggesting that this precious treasure is found in Naples. Everything starts from the observation of the stone jar that was carved at the base of the hexagonal balcony from which only the sovereign could look out.

The balcony in question is located in the courtyard of the Maschio Angioino, next to the Sala dei Baroni, a place where it is said that, towards the end of the fifteenth century, his son Ferrante would have killed the nobles of the kingdom that were hostile to him. It is thought that this stone jar could lead back to the Grail.

On this occasion they were organized a series of events, re-enactments, treasure hunts and themed guided tours. Let's see them in detail.
