The Emergency Christmas shop will open in Naples in November and will sell various kinds of items to make a conscious gift
Fortunately, in this belligerent world there are those who promote a culture of peace and solidarity by raising awareness on respect for human rights: Emergency, an independent Italian humanitarian association.
The humanitarian commitment of Emergency, founded by Dr. Gino Strada, is made possible by the contribution of thousands of volunteers and supporters who every day risk their lives devoting themselves body and soul to the project, away from the media spotlight. They offer free medical and surgical treatment to the victims of wars, land mines and poverty, without distinction of race or religion, but to sustain the association there is a need for a continuous economic contribution.
So in view of Christmas, Emergency has thought of open a series of Christmas shops in which you can buy gifts of various kinds such as gadgets, books, toys and Italian food and wine products made in countries where Emergency operates or donated by companies.
The Emergency Christmas shop will open a Naples the 29 November 2014 and the proceeds from sales will be used to finance humanitarian projects in Afghanistan.
Special guest of the inaugural evening will be the nice Neapolitan actor Patrizio Rispo!
It will be an opportunity to give Christmas gifts, in this period of economic crisis but also of values, a message of solidarity and peace, giving a small expense, a smile and a little 'hope in a better future to those people who do not have packages to discard, but children to feed and treat.
We try to contribute us too with a small gesture. We transform this artificial holiday into a day of love.
