The Capodimonte wood: the history of the park

The wonderful Real Bosco di Capodimonte offers citizens the opportunity to relax in large green spaces, distributed on well 134 hectares, and to breathe clean air.

The park, also including the homonymous palace - today Museum -, it was used since the 1735 for hunting activities Charles III of Spain. With Ferdinando I it will be open twice a year to all citizens, and then open to the public throughout the year.

The park will be equipped, over time, with embellishments including the garden with rare, fruit and exotic plants and the introduction of palm trees.
The itineraries that characterize it today are the result of an extensive work of retraining that in the 1990 interested the historical park.
