The Museum

The Archaeological Museum of Campi Flegrei, born in 1993, is kept inside the Castle of Baia, a fortress ofAragonese period whose interiors have been adapted to the museum exhibition.

The museum houses an extraordinary amount of precious objects archaeological finds coming from the territory of the Campi Flegrei.

The museum exhibition

The exhibition is organized as follows:

  • Section of Cuma (history of the settlement Opico of IX century BC, of ​​the Greek city from the 8th to the 5th century BC, of ​​the Sannitic city of the 4th century BC, of ​​the Roman city and of the Byzantine period)
  • Section of Pozzuoli (site history)
  • Section of the Rione Terra

  • Every day from 09: 00 to 14: 30
  • Monday closed
  • Ticket office closes at 13.00

Price tickets:

  • full € 4 (to visit also the Baths of Baia, the Flavian Amphitheater of Pozzuoli and the Archaeological Park of Cuma)
  • reduced € 2
  • Reservations are required for groups
