Aperivisita is back, the initiative with evening guided tours to the Catacombs of San Gennaro in Naples accompanied by an aperitif!
Also this year there will be beautiful evening guided tours with aperitif at Catacombs of San Gennaro which will last for most of the summer and will start on Saturday July 29 2017 repeating every Saturday until September 30.
The name of the initiative is proper Aperivisita and will allow, thanks to expert guides, to explore and get to know this site in the Capodimonte area which, together with the Catacombs of San Gaudioso, well represents the very special bond that the Neapolitans have with the world of the dead.
The visit will be enriched by the aperitif offered in collaboration with the craft microbrewery Neapolitan Kbirr, who made the Natavota beer in honor of San Gennaro.
La reservation is mandatory and it will be until all places are sold out.
The Catacombs of San Gennaro
During the visit you will admire arcosoli, fantastic mosaics and important frescoes.
In the Catacombs you can still see the old Basilica of Sant'Agrippino, in a lower level than the rest of the site, while in the upper area there are some of the first Christian sculptures of the south. Of course there are also thousands of burials, including those of important bishops, and the whole site represents one of the priceless heritage of Naples and Italy.
