Piazza Municipio reopens in May: away the construction sites

town hall square in Naples

After months of work and interruptions due to pandemic, the reopening of remaining part of Piazza Municipio in Naples is finally a reality. The mayor of the city, Gaetano Manfredi, announced the full opening of the square by the end of May during the monothematic session in the City Council on the situation of the city administration.

The reopening of the area also includes the underpass and the square in front at the Maritime station, becoming an important point of reference for the tourists arriving in Naples by sea and who will finally be able to enjoy a completely renovated and welcoming area.

The opening of the square was possible thanks to the laying of tram tracks, a fundamental condition for the recovery of the TRAFFIC expected. The tram it will continue on Piazza Vittoria and will also reach Piazza Sannazaro thanks to the funding of the PNRR.

La reopening of the area represents a great opportunity for traders in the area who, after months of forced closure due to the pandemic, will finally be able to return to work and welcome visitors to their city.
