Three concerts at the Bourbon Tunnel in Naples

The evocative Neapolitan underground will become the scene of three extraordinary concerts! here is the program!

Guided tours, jazz, tango, songs, operas and classical music will echo in the beautiful and evocative gallery of the Neapolitan subsoil.

This will be the relaxing atmosphere created by three fascinating musical performances staged at the Bourbon Tunnel of Naples.

I three concerts will be available to the Neapolitans respectively 24 and 31 January 2015 and 7 February 2015 and will be preceded by guided cultural paths at the Bourbon galleries.

After the visit, the participants will be led inside the Cathedral Hall, a perfect natural acoustic chamber, where the scheduled concert performances will come to life, carefully organized by the Underground Bourbon Cultural Association and under the artistic direction of the Neapolitan pianist Simonetta Tancredi.

The concerts will focus on three main themes: we will start with "from Jazz to Tango", in the company of the multi-talented musician Federico Mondelci. The second appointment, entitled “from the Song to the Opera”, will focus on the touching melodies of the mezzo-soprano Gabriella Colecchia, well-known singer and winner of prestigious international awards.

The kermesse will end the February 7 with "dal Lied al Quartetto", which will see the amazing executions by Cecilia Laca, Luigi Buonuomo, Antonio Bossone and Luca Signorini, the members of the prestigious string quartet of the Teatro San Carlo.

  • Saturday January 24 2015 (hours 19: 30), on the underground stage, the artist Federico Mondelci will perform with "from jazz to tango". Saxophonist, professor, chamber musician, soloist and conductor of the Orchestra, Federico Mondelci has been one of the greatest and most appreciated interpreters of the international music scene for thirty years. On stage will be accompanied by the same Tancredi on the piano for the concert "from jazz to tango". From George Gershwin's preludes, to the "Sentimental Evening" and "Tango Club" by Roberto Molinelli, we will pass the notes by Phil Woods and Paquito D 'Rivera, lowering the curtain with the "Brazileira" by Darius Milhaud and several tracks by Astor Piazzola.
  • Saturday January 31 2015 (19: 30) will be held the performance of mezzo-soprano Gabriella Colecchia, in concert "from song to opera". The Neapolitan artist wins very prestigious competitions such as the "Luciano Pavarotti International Voice Competition" of Philadelphia (1995) debuting in Falstaff (Meg) and Lucia di Lammermoor (Alisa) at the Philadelphia Academy of Music, and the "Toti dal Monte" of Treviso (1996) debuting at the Teatro Sociale in Rovigo at the end of the "Bottega" directed by Peter Maag.
  • Saturday February 7 2015 (19: 30) will close the music festival the "String Quartet of the Teatro San Carlo" - with Cecilia Laca, Luigi Buonuomo, Antonio Bossone and Luca Signorini - with "from the lied to the quartet".
