In the wonderful Castel dell'Ovo in Naples Saturday 23 October 2021 at 10:00 a really exciting and unmissable event will take place, namely the inauguration of the special exhibition "Tutankhamun, Journey to Eternity". The exhibition will last up to 8 January 2023.

It is an intense exhibition that will be able to unite art to archeology and virtual reality, to catapult you into a real journey through time in ancient Egypt.

The Tutankhamun exhibition with unique finds

Admiring the beautiful exhibition that will be set up in Castel dell'Ovo, or "Tutankhamun, journey to eternity”You can admire about 60 unique finds in the world which derive directly from the magnificent Egyptian collection of Archaeological Museum of Florence and in addition there will also be 100 official replicas of the most important objects of the treasure of the pharaoh Tutankhamun found in his tomb. They were made in Cairo in collaboration with the Ministry of Egyptian Antiquities and include the Golden throne, the war chariot, the sarcophagi, i canopic jars and the famous gold mask.

In addition, you will discover all the secrets related to cult of mummification and all the curiosities related to this mysterious burial. In this department you will discover all the stages of embalming.

Virtual reality

In the section dedicated to virtual reality there are also scenographic reconstructions and we can feel like the great archaeologist Howard Carter who in 1922 was the first to enter the pharaonic tomb in the Valley of the Kings. We will perceive all the mysteries of the place and also the myth of curse of the pharaoh.

With the help of a viewer and maneuvering the controllers, we will find ourselves inreconstructed environment of the tomb of Tutankhamun admiring all the objects of the funerary kit.
