Two Ferdinandi at the Reggia di Carditello: a theatricalized way to (re) get to know the King Nasone

Two Ferdinandi

The Royal Palace of Carditello will host Due Ferdinandi, the theatrical guide through the rooms and the history of the Bourbon residence. Guest of honor King Ferdinand IV (or rather two!)

Two Ferdinandi is a theatrical guided tour staged byNarteA association il February 23 2020  to the Royal Palace of Carditello, starting from 10: 30.

(Re) meet King Nasone

Ferdinand IV was known by several nicknames, the first of which was King Piccerillo: he was given to him because he ascended the throne of Naples at the age of eight. Over time his nose grew with him, so the subjects (and his courtiers) stuck that of King Nasone.

Ferdinand IV was a multifaceted figure, who brought together the vices and virtues of a difficult and daring era: the King disguised as a commoner to mingle with the people, he loved hunting and women, found himself in the midst of court intrigues and power reversals, had at his side the beautiful, intelligent and strong-willed Queen Carolina, which played such a large part in the political and cultural history of the Kingdom.

In the Reggia di Carditello not one, but well, will be presented to the public Two Ferdinandi, each of which will claim to be the only, unique and true King of Naples: the spectators have the task of distinguishing the King from his impostor.

The NarteA company

The show, written and directed by Febo Quercia will see the actors on stage Antimo Casertano, Sergio Del Prete, Roberta Frascati, Daniela Ioia, Pietro Juliano, Alessio Sica.

The visitors will be guided through the rooms of Carditello and its stories   Matteo Borriello and Lina Toscano.
