Underground Naples: the path to visit the underground reopens

Finally Naples Underground also reopens to the public: you can return to visit the underground of the historic center of Naples!

The site is closed in compliance with the anti-Covid provisions applied in the orange regions.

From 18 January 2021 has also reopened to the public the historic route of Underground Naples, in historical center of the city, in particular in Piazza San Gaetano.

Visiting the Naples Underground route will take you to a exciting journey to discover the heart of the city at a depth of about 40 meters, among the underground tunnels of the Neapolitan city.

The visits will take place Monday to Friday in complete safety, thus respecting the general rules: obligation to wear a mask, social distancing and booking, by purchasing tickets online. The site will be closed on Saturdays and Sundays and public holidays.

The Naples Underground route begins in 40 meters underground where is a real world apart made of tunnels, large tanks and unique paths in the world where you can admire the remains of the ancient Greek-Roman aqueduct, the bomb shelters of the Second World War and much more, to discover 2400 years of history.

By participating in the visit you can also admire, by accessing from a private property, the remains of the ancient Greco-Roman theater of Anticaglia. For visits we recommend that you wear clothing with comfortable shoes and we remind you that visits to very narrow paths such as tunnels are optional.
