At the Piccolo Bellinid the Napoli on the scene Emergency exit by Manlio Santanelli

"Emergency exit": the story of Cirillo and Pacebbene written by Manlio Santanelli staged at the Piccolo Bellini in Naples, directed by Pierpaolo Sepe

On stage at the theater Little Bellini of Naples from the 7 17 2013 November, the first famous text of the Neapolitan playwright Manlio Santanelli, Emergency exit.

The comedy was performed for the first time at the Teatro San Ferdinando in 1980, starring the actors Nello Mascia and Bruno Cirino, while now it will be revived with the direction of Pierpaolo Sepe, And with Rino Di Martino ed Ernesto Mahieux in the role of the protagonists Cirillo and Paceersi.

At the center of the story the continuous dialogue between these two characters who, finding themselves alone, decided to go and live in a district of Naples that was continually uninhabited after the earthquake. The two do nothing but prick each other, in a dialogue made of lies and offenses, playing spying and dressing up, to fill the void of monotonous daily life, using a language that mixes Italian and Neapolitan dialect.

The atmosphere of the tragicomedy borders on that of theater of the absurd, for the constant state of immobility and apathy that drives human beings to madness, for the comic and clownish situations but at the same time static and with no way out, despite the characters' desire to run away and change their condition.

On the occasion of the show at the Piccolo Bellini, Wednesday 6 November at 15: 00 a lesson / meeting with Manlio SantanelliRino Di Martino ed Ernesto Mahieux. Admission is free.
