Vaccines in Campania: reservations for fragile categories are underway

Reservations are open for anti-Covid19 vaccines, in Campania, even for people with high frailty. Here's how to do it.

La Campania region communicated that from Wednesday 17 March 2021 i frail patients they will be able to start book your vaccination against Convid-19.

They will be the general practitioners to have to enter the memberships in the telematic platform of the Region of their patients, as required by the Protocol of the Ministry of Health, considering that they are highly frail patients, that is Category 1 which includes extremely vulnerable and / or severely disabled people.

Subsequently, i authorized centers to administer the vaccine, which will be Pfizer-Biontech, they will contact the patient and they will summon them to the authorized center.

People included in the high frailty category

The frail subjects identified by the Ministry of Health and included in Category 1 are those who have the following pathologies:

  • Respiratory diseases: Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis; respiratory diseases that require oxygen therapy.
  • Cardio-circulatory diseases: Heart failure in advanced class; post cardiogenic shock patients.
  • Neurological diseases: Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, infantile cerebral palsy, patients being treated with biological drugs or immunosuppressive therapies, myasthenia gravis, dysimmune neurological diseases.
  • Severe diabetes / endocrinopathies: people with type 1 diabetes; type 2 who need at least two diabetes medications or who have developed complications; subjects with Addison's disease, subjects with panhypopituitarism.
  • Cystic fibrosis: highly frail patients due to the respiratory implications typical of underlying pathologies.
  • Kidney failure: patients undergoing chronic dialysis treatment
  • Autoimmune Diseases: patients with severe pulmonary impairment or marked immunodeficiency, patients with immunosuppression secondary to therapeutic treatment
  • Liver disease: patients diagnosed with liver cirrhosis
  • Cerebrovascular diseases: cerebral ischemic-hemorrhagic event that compromised neurological and cognitive autonomy
  • Oncological pathology
  • Hemoglobinopathies: patients with thalassemia, sickle cell anemia
  • Down syndrome
  • Transplanted
  • Severe obesity
  • "HIV" immunodeficiency
