See Sacred and Mysterious Naples 2025: art, faith, and mystery through tours, concerts, and nativity scenes.
A journey between art, spirituality and memory to discover the most intimate and symbolic part of Naples. From November 4, 2025 to January 8, 2026, the review returns “See Sacred and Mysterious Naples and then come back”, promoted byDepartment of Tourism of the Municipality of Naples and financed under theAgreement for the Cohesion of the Campania RegionA widespread project that unites guided tours, concerts, shows and installations to restore the city to its role as a crossroads of cultures, languages, and sensibilities.
The event is divided into four main sections: The Mysteries of Naples, Naples Sacred Music Festival 2025, The Nativity e Christmas of Emotions, all free admission until seats are filled.
The Mysteries of Naples: A Tour of Faith and Legend
From 7 November to 28 December, eight itineraries and thirty-two guided tours will invite citizens and tourists to explore the city's sacred and mysterious places: churches, convents, brotherhoods, and palaces that tell the story of Neapolitan spirituality. The initiative is curated by The Canto of Virgil Foundation and includes meetings with artists, writers and scholars including Maurizio De Giovanni, Peppe Barra, Antonella Cilento and Marino Niola.
Each tour, lasting approximately 90 minutes, will be enriched by live theatrical and musical performances. Among the most evocative stops:
- Il Museum Complex of the Archconfraternity of the Pilgrims (November 7-9) between art, faith and charity.
- La Church of San Nicola da Tolentino (November 14-16), first Lourdes sanctuary in Italy.
- La Church of Santa Maria della Vittoria , Holy Trinity at Anticaglia (November 21-23), in the heart of the Decumani.
- The path Paradise and Purgatory (November 28-30) between the heights of Via Foria and Moiariello.
- La Church of St. John the Baptist in Teduccio (5-7 December), with the mystery of the bell tower that rings by itself.
- The tour The dark serpent of Porta Capuana (12-14 December), between the Duomo and ancient temples.
- The path on Leopards in Fuorigrotta (December 19-21), dedicated to the mystery of his death.
- Il Cavone (December 26-28), among the underground water veins of a hidden Naples.

Naples Sacred Music Festival 2025
From 4 29 to November, Naples Sacred Music Festival, edited by the Master Luigi Grima, will bring eight concerts to the most beautiful churches and historic sites of the city. The festival offers a journey through the sacred musical repertoire of sixteenth and seventeenth-century Naples, with performances by baroque ensembles and polyphonic choirs.
Among the most anticipated stages:
- Prologue to the Festival (November 4, Scarlatti Hall), tribute to Roberto De Simone.
- Odhecaton (November 14, San Gregorio Armeno).
- The Confraternity of Musicians (November 15, Saint Mary of Mercy).
- Discantus Orchestra and Vocalia Choir (November 16, Basilica of Carmine).
- Nova Ars Cantandi (November 22, Basilica of Gesù Nuovo).
- Scarlatti Baroque Sinfonietta (November 29, Santa Maria di Montesanto).

The Neapolitan Nativity Scene: The Nativity in Piazza Municipio
From December 5th to January 8th, Piazza Municipio host The Nativity, an impressive life-size nativity scene installation, designed by Master Vincenzo Capuano and created with the contribution of the Schools of the Masters of the Ancient Artisan Arts of Naples.
The work, inspired by the tradition of the eighteenth-century nativity scene, represents a tribute to Neapolitan nativity scene art and to the deep bond between the city and its historic shops, in particular those of San Gregorio ArmenoLocated in the heart of Naples, between Palazzo San Giacomo, Castel Nuovo, and the port, the Nativity Scene will be one of the symbols of Christmas 2025, uniting art, faith, and hope.
Christmas of Emotions: Music of the Heart
From 8 30 to December, the review Christmas of Emotions, always taken care of by The Canto of Virgil Foundation, will offer seven free shows and concerts. Great artists and orchestras will accompany the city during the festivities with performances ranging from theater to sacred and folk music.
Among the scheduled events:
- 8th December: By my hand di Maurizio De Giovanni (The Pit and the Pendulum Theater) and One night and stars Choir of the City of Naples (Church of San Potito).
- 21th December: Silver Star di Carlo Faiello, with orchestra and solo voices (Church of Maria Santissima Desolata).
- 23th December: Christmas in Naples: Legends, Miracles, and Tales (Basilica of Santa Lucia a Mare).
- 25th December: Christmas Concert since Cathedral of Naples, with choir and symphony orchestra of the Cantori di Posillipo.
- 26th December: That I die looking at you di Raphael Converso (Church of Sant'Anna alle Paludi).
- 30th December: The vocal spirituality of 700th-century Neapolitan music (Scarlatti Hall, Conservatory of San Pietro a Majella).

- Tourist information point of the Municipality of Naples will be open every day from 10: 00 to 19: 00 in the offices of Angevin Pier, Piazza del Gesù, Via Cesario Console and Via Morghen, with a mobile information point active on weekends in the main tourist areas.
