At the race start Fridays in Ercolano 2026, the festival that for nine years has enlivened summer evenings among the illuminated ruins of the ancient Roman city. This year's theme is “Love and War”, a journey through theater, dance, and live music that unfolds in several weekly events.

The event, organized by the Ercolano Archaeological Park, offers the public the unique opportunity to attend live performances in the evocative setting of the archaeological excavations, among the most important and best preserved in Italy.

The program

The festival offers a rich calendar of events spanning diverse genres: from classical prose to contemporary monologues, from dance to live music, all set among the ancient streets and buildings of the archaeological area.

Each show is designed to enhance the dialogue between the site's millennial history and contemporary artistic expressions, creating an experience that combines culture, entertainment, and archaeological inspiration.

Among the scheduled events, particular attention is given to the pairing of "Love and War," which serves as the underlying theme of the entire edition, explored through different artistic languages.

How to participate

The shows are held inside the Herculaneum Archaeological Park, with entrance from Piazzale Teatro Greco or Corso Resina. Reservations are recommended.
