The appointment for Easter 2019 is back in Ravello where the traditional Via Crucis in costume will be held with as many as 300 participants
Sunday April 14 2019, on the occasion of Palm Sunday, the traditional will take place in the heart of Ravello Via Crucis in costume, a great event on the occasion of Easter that brings together the faithful but not only, for a very suggestive show that will take place in the evening in the alleys of the most beautiful village of the Amalfi Coast.
It will be a real traveling stage which this year includes a cast of ben 300 appearing and 40 actors who will play their part in costume among the most scenic and evocative corners of Ravello. The appointment is at 20.00 in piazza Fontana Moresca where the first two scenes of the itinerary are set up: the garden of olives and the Sanhedrin.
The procession will continue along viale Gioacchino d'Anna stopping at piazza San Giovanni del Toror where two other scenes are set up: the Praetorium of Pilate and the place where the Madonna meets the apostle John. From this square the stations of the Via Crucis begin and they will end in the churchyard of the Duomo where one of the most spectacular and touching scenes of the whole Via Crucis will take place: the crucifixion.
